Product Overview
The principle of the stainless steel powder sintered carbonation stone process is as follows:
Raw Material Preparation:
Stainless steel powder is prepared using water atomization or gas atomization, with irregular particle shapes and a loose bulk density of 2.5-3.2 g/cm³.
Forming Process:
- Press-and-Sinter Method: The powder is pressed into shape under a pressure of 207 MPa and sintered in a reducing atmosphere (such as hydrogen protection) to form a porous structure.
- Loose Powder Sintering Method: The powder is directly filled into a mold and sintered without pressure, achieving a porosity of 40%-60%. Adding a pore-forming agent (such as methyl cellulose) can increase the porosity to 70%-90%.
Densification Control:
During the mid-to-late stages of sintering, pore closure happens through lattice diffusion or grain boundary diffusion. The heating rate and holding time are adjusted to optimize the density.
Performance Characteristics:
Porosity influences filtration accuracy, such as at 0.5 μm. A smooth surface also aids in backwashing and regeneration.
