Product Overview
Differences between PE (Polyethylene) and PP (Polypropylene) Sintered Filter Elements:
1. Filtration Performance:
PE filter element: Uniform pore size, filtration precision can reach 0.3 microns (gas-solid) and 0.45 microns (liquid-solid), with a filtration rate of 99.9%, suitable for precise filtration scenarios.
PP filter element: Broad filtration precision range (starting from 20 microns), large contaminant holding capacity, commonly used for pre-filtration and clean filtration, especially suitable for acidic and alkaline environments.
2. Application Fields
PE filter element: Often used in pharmaceuticals (large volume infusion filtration), chemical catalyst separation, electroplating wastewater treatment, and other fields requiring low temperature or high precision filtration.
PP filter element: Widely used in initial filtration in food and pharmaceutical industries (such as oral solutions), preparation of ultra-pure water for electronics, and in industrial scenarios requiring high-temperature resistance.
3. Maintenance and Cost
PE filter element: Can be regenerated through physical or chemical cleaning, but recovery is relatively difficult.
PP filter element: Easy to recycle and has a long lifespan, but has poor UV resistance and can age quickly with prolonged outdoor use.
When choosing, it is necessary to consider specific needs: if high-temperature resistance or enhanced chemical corrosion resistance is required, prioritize PP; if low-temperature resistance or high-precision filtration is needed, then PE is more suitable.
